Record Number of Transactions and Leading Assets

In the two months since the launch of perpetual futures on traditional assets in January 2026, the number of transactions on Binance reached approximately 90 million. Particularly high volumes were recorded in February, when on certain days the number of operations reached 6.3 million per day. On average, the daily number of transactions fluctuated around 4.4 million, with a significant portion attributed to precious metals: about 2 million transactions were related to gold contracts, while 1.9 million were for silver.

“Gold typically accounts for 25% to 65% of the turnover in the segment of perpetual futures on traditional assets on Binance. At the same time, silver occupies a significant portion of the remaining volume and can exceed 70% during certain periods.”

Rapid Growth in Volumes for Gold and Silver

The key drivers of trading activity have been the futures on precious metals. Specifically, on March 3, the daily trading volume for gold contracts reached $3.77 billion, while for silver it was $3.75 billion. During peak periods, these figures were even higher: trading volumes for gold reached $4 billion, and for silver, $7 billion. Experts believe that the gradual increase in turnover reflects a steady demand for these instruments among traders.

CryptoQuant analysts note that the concentration of trading activity around gold and silver indicates high interest in these assets within the context of round-the-clock trading on cryptocurrency platforms. This trend confirms the integration of traditional financial instruments into the digital economy.
