In the first quarter of 2025, Ukrainians concluded over 1.5 million internal contracts for mandatory civil liability insurance (MCLI), which is 8.83% less compared to the same period in 2024. This was reported by the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.

The total amount of insurance premiums for MCLI contracts exceeded 4.5 billion hryvnias, which is an increase of 114.81% compared to 2024. The average insurance premium rose to 2975.4 hryvnias, representing a growth of 135.61%. This trend is linked to the transition of the MCLI market to a free pricing mechanism.
