The Situation with Gas Supply in Ukraine Remains Stable Despite Attacks from Russia

Coordinated Work and Cooperation with International Partners

According to Boyko, the current stability has been achieved thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Naftogaz team, the Ukrainian government, and the support of international partners. She emphasized that the active interaction of all parties allows for a prompt response to challenges related to equipment destruction due to attacks, as well as ensuring the country has the necessary imported resources.

“In my understanding, the situation with gas is not as critical as it could be. And this is thanks to the joint efforts of our team, the government, and our international partners,” said Boyko.

New Agreements to Strengthen Energy Security

In order to further strengthen energy security and diversify supply routes, Naftogaz of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Polish company Orlen. Under the agreements, Ukraine will receive at least 300 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States. This agreement will not only help address urgent energy supply issues but also opens up prospects for long-term partnerships in the energy sector involving the United States, which will contribute to enhancing the energy security of all of Europe.
