Regions with the Most Challenging Situation

According to Ukrenergo, the most critical situation is observed in the city of Kyiv, as well as in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Chernihiv regions. To stabilize electricity supply in these regions, as well as in Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, emergency power outages have been implemented. Additionally, in Chernihiv Oblast, due to the consequences of previous shelling, a scheduled hourly blackout plan has been introduced, which involves limiting electricity supply in one queue.

“To stabilize the situation in the energy system in parts of the mentioned regions, as well as in Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, emergency outages have been implemented. Due to the consequences of previous enemy shelling in Chernihiv Oblast, the local energy company has introduced a schedule for hourly outages in one queue,” the statement reads.

Restoration and Call for Energy Conservation

Energy sector specialists are working in an intensified mode to restore the equipment damaged by Russian shelling as quickly as possible. Recovery efforts are ongoing in all regions affected by the attacks.

Against the backdrop of cloudy weather, an increase in electricity consumption is being observed, as the efficiency of household solar power plants has significantly decreased. This leads to increased load on the country’s energy system. In this regard, energy workers are urging Ukrainians to use electricity sparingly and not to turn on several powerful appliances simultaneously throughout the day.
