“The government, together with law enforcement agencies and under the coordination of the NSDC, is preparing a decision that will give businesses more freedom. An annual moratorium on inspections is planned. This issue has already been discussed with the President – his directive is clear: to give more freedom to internal economic forces. This also means continuing the de-shadowing of the economy and ensuring equal conditions that benefit legitimate businesses.”

Updated Approach to Criminal Proceedings Against Entrepreneurs

The Prime Minister reported that the government has initiated an audit of criminal cases opened against businesses, aiming to close baseless proceedings that hinder the operation of enterprises. According to her, in the future, new cases can only be opened by the Attorney General or heads of regional and district levels.

Reduction of Tax and Customs Pressure

Yulia Svyrydenko also emphasized that inspections by the tax and customs services will be significantly limited and will remain only in sectors with increased risk. Honest enterprises will receive additional protection from excessive oversight.

Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko reported that as a result of analyzing 20,000 criminal cases against businesses, a decision has already been made to close 6,752 cases. The audit is ongoing, and further steps to protect entrepreneurs will continue.
