The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision regarding the allocation of 12.6 billion UAH for the repair and maintenance of public roads. Additionally, the government has allocated an extra 3 billion UAH from the state budget’s reserve fund for urgent current repairs of major highways.

Funding Priorities and Work Completion Deadlines
According to the state budget for 2026, 4.6 billion UAH of the total amount will be directed towards current repair works. The additional funds from the reserve fund will primarily be used for the restoration of state roads with high traffic that require immediate intervention.
“Current repairs on international highways must be completed by May 1. All major works should be finished by June 1, 2026,” emphasized the Prime Minister.
Tasks for Ministries and Agencies
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development, as well as the Recovery Agency, have been tasked with significantly accelerating the pace of repair works. This decision is aimed at ensuring the proper condition of roads that are strategically important for the country and support a high level of transport infrastructure.
Additional funding will allow for the expedited renewal of road surfaces on major routes, ensuring traffic safety and creating conditions for the effective movement of citizens and freight transport across the country.
