The Government Allocated 220 Million UAH to Support Farmers in 2026

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend the state support program for Ukrainian farms, allocating 220 million UAH for 2026 from a special budget fund. This funding will not only support the winners of the previous competitive selection but also expand assistance to other agricultural producers in various areas.

Funding and Key Support Areas

As reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, in 2025, 139 farmers who won the competition under the “Provision of Loans to Farming Enterprises” program will receive 124.1 million UAH from the state for the development and diversification of production. This funding is particularly relevant during the spring planting campaign, which has already begun in 17 regions of Ukraine.

“Supporting farmers is the foundation of the country’s food security. It is especially important that the funding comes during the spring planting season, which has already started in 17 regions. For many farms, this is an opportunity to timely enter the fields, carry out all necessary work, and maintain production,” noted Svyrydenko.

Land Restoration and Additional Support Tools

In 2026, the program also includes the return to cultivation of lands that have been cleared as part of humanitarian demining efforts. Over 15,000 hectares have already been prepared for sowing, particularly in the Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kyiv regions.

In addition to direct financial support, the government continues to implement additional tools for agricultural producers: grants for the development of horticulture and greenhouse farming, compensation for the purchase of equipment, support for irrigation systems, agricultural insurance, and assistance to farmers in frontline regions.

At the same time, farmers’ expenses for conducting the planting campaign in 2026 have increased by approximately 5% due to rising diesel fuel prices, which have surged by 40%.
