In the Czech city of Pardubice, located 100 kilometers east of Prague, investigators are treating the arson of an industrial workshop belonging to LPP Holding as a terrorist act. This was reported by Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and Interior Minister Lubomír Metnar, who initiated the establishment of a crisis headquarters to respond to the incident.

Details of the Incident and Government Response
The fire occurred at one of LPP Holding’s facilities, a company specializing in the production of unmanned systems, particularly for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The blaze completely destroyed one of the company’s workshops and also damaged office spaces. In December 2025, LPP Holding unveiled the Narwhal cruise missile with a range of over 600 kilometers, which was intended for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
Czech President Petr Pavel noted on social media platform X that he is closely monitoring the situation in Pardubice. The police received reports of the fire shortly after four in the morning. Czech Police Chief Martin Vondrášek stated that immediately after the incident, journalists from several Czech media outlets received information messages from an email address that matches the domain of the organization that claimed responsibility for the arson.
Responsibility and Investigation Versions
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by a previously unknown group called the “Earthquake Faction.” A day before the arson, the group created its own website, and after the incident, a Telegram channel was launched where a video of the hangar fire was published. They explained their actions as a protest against the production of weapons for Israel at the facility in Pardubice and “genocide against Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon.”
“A fire occurred at one of its facilities, and the company refuses to speculate on the causes or circumstances of the incident.”
LPP Holding confirmed the occurrence of the fire but did not comment on the details. It is also known that in 2023, the company planned to participate in a tender from the Israeli company Elbit, but the competition was canceled. Currently, the investigation is conducting a pyrotechnic examination and other necessary measures to establish all the circumstances of the event.
