Ukrainian cheese producers have summarized the results of pre-holiday sales, which turned out to be mixed. Only those companies that actively implemented marketing promotions and discounts were able to increase their sales volumes.

Increasing Competition Due to European Imports
The cheese market in Ukraine is under pressure from the growing import of cheaper products from Europe. The decrease in prices in the European market makes imported cheeses more cost-effective for Ukrainian consumers. Despite a noticeable increase in imports of hard and semi-hard cheeses, their volumes do not yet pose a critical threat to the industry. However, producers expect the traditional seasonal decline in demand, so they do not plan significant production increases in the near future.
Marketing Promotions and New Export Markets
Cheese prices in the domestic market remain high, which limits consumption volumes. In such conditions, promotional offers and discounts remain the main tool for stimulating sales, and experts predict that they will continue to determine market dynamics.

Regarding foreign trade, Ukrainian producers are recording a decrease in the export of semi-hard cheeses, while at the same time, supplies of processed cheeses and cheese products are increasing compared to last year. The main markets remain unchanged — Kazakhstan and Moldova, while cheese products are in demand in the Caucasus countries. In addition, Ukrainian companies are gradually exploring new markets, particularly in Africa.
In the export market, prices for traditional types of cheese remain stable, while the segment of cheese products is experiencing gradual stabilization after a period of price fluctuations. At the same time, experts point out potential risks for the export of processed cheese products that may arise due to the unstable situation in the Middle Eastern countries, which will affect future sales dynamics.
