Switzerland has announced the allocation of 5 billion Swiss francs (approximately 6.2 billion US dollars) for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that these funds will enable the implementation of several promising humanitarian projects in collaboration with the Swiss side.

“We have many promising projects in the humanitarian sector that we can implement together with this funding,” he stressed.
Swiss Investments in Energy Recovery
In addition to government support, the Swiss company PFIFFNER-Group, which specializes in the production of energy equipment, is providing Ukraine with 100,000 Swiss francs for the purchase of equipment necessary for the restoration of energy infrastructure. Furthermore, the company is exploring the possibility of establishing its own production facilities in Ukraine, which could be an important step for the further development of the country’s energy sector.
Sweden Funds IAEA Missions for Nuclear Safety
Meanwhile, the Swedish government has decided to allocate 20 million Swedish kronor (2.1 million US dollars) to support the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) missions in Ukraine throughout 2025. The majority of the funding will be directed towards ensuring the presence of IAEA experts at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and in Chernobyl.
The Swedish government emphasized that this assistance will help reduce the risk of armed attacks, provide professional consultations on nuclear safety, protect against nuclear incidents, and ensure access to unbiased and independent information for the global community.
