The State Agency “PlayCity” has imposed a fine of over 4.3 million UAH on the company LLC “Pati Planet” — a licensed gambling organizer operating in the online casino segment. The reason for this was that the company allowed a person who was listed in the Register of individuals restricted from participating in gambling to play. This constitutes a serious violation of current legislation regarding the protection of players’ rights.

Reasons and consequences of the fine
The violation was discovered as a result of an unscheduled inspection conducted following a citizen’s complaint. According to the regulator, LLC “Pati Planet” is required to voluntarily pay the imposed fine within three months from the date of the sanction. The statement emphasizes that player identification and restricting access for individuals listed in the special register are key tools for protecting clients of legal gambling operators.

Player protection and opportunities for operators
Licensed gambling organizers must strictly adhere to user identification requirements and must not allow individuals with restricted access to participate in games. Such restrictions are aimed at enhancing safety and responsibility in the gambling sector. At the same time, legal operators have the opportunity to apply for a license through the electronic cabinet on the state portal “Diia”, which promotes market transparency.
