On the evening of August 1, the city of Sumy once again became a target for the Russian army’s attacks. Around 5:20 PM, during an air raid alert, two explosions were heard, caused by kamikaze drone strikes on civilian infrastructure. After the repeated shelling at 6:50 PM, the consequences were recorded at the Sumy railway station. The windows of train No. 45 “Kharkiv – Uzhhorod,” which was at the station at the time of the attack, were damaged. Thanks to the prompt actions of railway workers, passengers were quickly transferred to other carriages, helping to avoid injuries and panic among the people.
