Subaru has unveiled a new hybrid version of its popular Forester crossover in the off-road Wilderness trim. The model premiered at the New York Auto Show, where the manufacturer detailed the technical and functional features of the new vehicle.

Technical Specifications and Enhancements
The Subaru Forester Wilderness Hybrid features a powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter flat-four gasoline engine with an electric motor. The total output is 194 hp, making this crossover more powerful than the version with a traditional gasoline engine. Additionally, the hybrid variant is 25% more fuel-efficient.
The manufacturer has upgraded the continuously variable transmission and suspension, as well as recalibrated the X-Mode system for improved off-road performance. The ground clearance of the Forester Wilderness Hybrid has been increased to 236 mm. Thanks to the sloped bumpers, the approach angle is 23.5°, and the departure angle is 25.5°.
Design Features and Equipment
The hybrid version of the Forester Wilderness differs from the base model with a more aggressive plastic body kit, a new front design, 17-inch off-road tires, and a roof rack.

The interior features water-resistant seat upholstery materials and rubber floor mats, emphasizing the vehicle’s practicality for travel and outdoor activities. Equipment includes a digital instrument panel and a premium Harman Kardon audio system with 576 watts and 11 speakers.
