In Ukraine, there is a gradual decrease in strawberry prices due to an increase in market supply. However, despite this, prices remain significantly higher compared to last year. The main reason for this situation is the unfavorable weather conditions that negatively affected the harvest.

Despite the seasonal drop in prices at the end of May, the cost of Ukrainian strawberries remains at a record level. Berries, particularly from Transcarpathia, are pushing out imported counterparts, but a significant price drop has not yet been observed.

Market Trends Analysis for Strawberries
According to analysts from EastFruit, the active influx of strawberries from western regions has already led to a decrease in prices: if at the beginning of May greenhouse strawberries were sold for 220-260 UAH/kg, last week the price fell by a third – to 120-190 UAH/kg. However, overall, this year’s strawberry prices remain 45% higher than in May 2024.
