Ukraine is experiencing an increase in electricity consumption. On Monday, May 5, the consumption level was 8.6% higher compared to the same time on the previous working day – Friday, May 2. This increase is linked to deteriorating weather conditions that negatively affect the efficiency of household solar power plants. This was reported by “Ukrenergo”.

The agency notes that due to cloudy weather and precipitation in some regions, energy consumption from the general grid is rising.
“Electricity consumption has increased. Currently, the Ukrainian energy system continues to recover from the Russian massive missile and drone attacks. Emergency recovery work at energy facilities is ongoing”

At the same time, as of the morning of May 5, 68 settlements in 5 regions of Ukraine were completely or partially without electricity. This occurred due to adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, hail, and gusty winds. Currently, energy workers are addressing the issues, trying to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible.
