As a result of new massive attacks by Russia on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, power outages have been reported in seven regions of the country. Electricity supply issues have arisen in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions.

Response from Energy Workers and Reasons for Increased Consumption
In regions where security conditions allow, emergency recovery operations have already begun. Specialists are working to restore damaged equipment as quickly as possible to return it to operation and stabilize energy supply for the population and businesses.
“Due to shelling of the energy infrastructure, as of this morning, there are consumers without electricity in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions. Everywhere where security conditions permit, emergency recovery operations have already started. Energy workers are doing everything possible to return the equipment damaged by the enemy to operation as soon as possible.”
As of 9:30 AM, electricity consumption across Ukraine has increased by 2.7% compared to the previous working day. This is primarily due to overcast weather, which reduces the efficiency of home solar power plants in most regions.
Call for Rational Use of Electricity
Energy workers emphasize the importance of a prudent approach to electricity consumption and ask citizens to plan the active use of electrical appliances during the peak operation of solar power plants — from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Instead, in the evening hours, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, they recommend refraining from using high-powered equipment.
Additionally, for industrial consumers, there will be restrictions on electricity use during the specified evening period according to schedules, to avoid additional strain on the energy system.
