As a result of an accident on the railway section near Korosten, a significant number of passenger trains are experiencing delays. The incident occurred due to a freight train derailing, which led to the emergency stop of train No. 45/46 Kharkiv-Uzhhorod.

Among the passengers of the train, there were no injuries reported. Only one female passenger sustained a cut from glass and received assistance on-site. Meanwhile, the driver and assistant of the freight train were injured and taken to the hospital.
The Accident and Its Consequences
The locomotive crew of passenger train No. 45/46, which was traveling on the adjacent track, was forced to make an emergency stop. As a result of this emergency stop, the locomotive of this train also derailed. Specialists are currently investigating the causes of the incident.
According to official information, no serious injuries have been recorded among the passengers. Only one woman received a cut from glass and was provided with medical assistance directly at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and his assistant of the freight train were injured and both were hospitalized.
Changes in Train Operations and Transportation Organization
Due to the accident, train No. 45/46 Kharkiv-Uzhhorod has been redirected via a detour route, which will lead to significant delays in its arrival. Additionally, several other passenger trains are being rerouted through Shepetivka, Koziatyn, and Fastiv, with delays for them potentially reaching three hours or more.

- Train No. 98 Kovel – Kyiv has been temporarily redirected via Zhytomyr, where a shorter delay is expected.
For the convenience of passengers, a transfer to a suburban shuttle towards Korosten and back has been organized at Shepetivka station.
