Using Generators and Gas Devices

Generators should be operated exclusively outdoors to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. If there is a smell of fuel, a liquid leak, or unusual sounds, the device must be turned off immediately. Camping gas burners and cylinders must be certified and in good working order. Their use is permitted only outdoors or in well-ventilated areas.

At the same time, the risk of fires and carbon monoxide poisoning increases, so it is important to follow the manufacturers’ instructions and basic safety rules.

Additional Safety Rules at Home

When using stove heating, avoid overheating, regularly clean chimneys, and do not leave the fire unattended. Charging stations should be used according to their capacity and storage conditions must be observed. It is not recommended to connect devices whose power exceeds the capabilities of the charging station.

Candles should not be left unattended and should not be lit near flammable materials. Heaters should only be connected to a generator or charging station if the power source’s capacity is appropriate. Do not allow children to use open flames or dangerous devices. A fire extinguisher must be present in the home.

In case of an emergency, call 112 or use the “112 Ukraine” app to request assistance.
