Russia continues to hold the position of the largest oil supplier to China for the period of January to November 2025. During this time, Russian exports to China amounted to 91.5 million tons, which is 7.6% less than in the same period last year.

Decrease in Supplies in November
In November 2025, the volume of oil supplies from Russia to China decreased by 3.4% compared to November 2024, totaling 8.35 million tons. Compared to October of this year, supplies fell by 8.3%. In terms of value, exports reached $3.78 billion, down from $4.38 billion in October.
The average daily shipment of crude oil from Russia to China in November was 2.03 million barrels, which is 5.6% less compared to the previous month.
Other Key Suppliers and Market Developments
Following Russia, Saudi Arabia ranks as the main oil exporter to China, with supplies totaling 74.1 million tons (+2.5% compared to last year). In third place is Malaysia with 60.3 million tons, which is 5.1% less. Next are Iraq with 58.8 million tons (-0.6%) and Brazil with 41.7 million tons, the latter showing a supply increase of 21.6%.

Additionally, last week it was reported that the Indian oil refining giant Reliance Industries Ltd. has resumed purchases of Russian crude oil at a discount. The company is buying oil from suppliers not subject to sanctions and transporting the raw material to its plant in Gujarat state.
