Recruitment of Afghan builders for the occupied territories
Currently, about 100 citizens of Afghanistan are already working on construction sites in Russia. In the near future, the arrival of approximately 1,000 Afghan workers is anticipated. The authorities plan to send them to the occupied regions of Ukraine — the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”. Here, the labor migrants will perform tasks related to clearing the territories and restoring infrastructure.
“Cooperation between Russia and the Taliban movement, which was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia back in 2003, has sharply intensified since the beginning of the full-scale war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine.”
North Korean sapper and construction workers for Russia
During negotiations in Pyongyang, Russia agreed to the arrival of 1,000 North Korean sappers and 5,000 military builders who are to participate in the reconstruction of the Kursk region. Additionally, North Korea may send up to 25,000 workers to a drone manufacturing plant in Russia.
Ukrainian intelligence reports that citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries arriving for work in Russia are increasingly being mobilized into the ranks of the Russian army to participate in the war against Ukraine. Separate units are being formed from these foreigners and sent to the most dangerous sections of the front.
