Over the past three days, the facilities of the National Joint Stock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” in the Poltava region have been subjected to intense attacks by Russian forces. As a result of these shellings, an employee of the company has died.

Casualties Among Naftogaz Employees

According to the company, this week has been extremely challenging due to constant shelling and strikes on the energy sector’s infrastructure in the region. One of these attacks resulted in the death of process operator Roman Chmykhun, who was 55 years old.

“It has been a very difficult week. For the third consecutive day, strikes continue on Naftogaz facilities in Poltava.”

Naftogaz emphasizes that this is the second loss of a company employee this week, indicating a serious threat to personnel and critical infrastructure.

Shutdown of Gas Production Facilities

It was previously reported that on March 27, due to another attack by the Russian Federation, one of the gas production facilities in the Poltava region was forced to temporarily cease operations. Such attacks significantly affect the stability of the region’s energy sector and the safety of its workers.
