Electricity Outages: Key Changes
According to updated data, tomorrow the implementation of 1 to 2.5 phases of rolling blackouts for residential consumers is planned. This is a slightly better indicator compared to previous days: today there are 1 to 3 phases in effect, while the day before there were 2.5 to 4 phases of outages. Thus, the situation is gradually stabilizing, but it has not yet been possible to completely avoid restrictions.
Reasons and Features of the Restrictions
The restrictions also remain in effect for industrial enterprises, which will also fall under the blackout schedules throughout the day. The main reason for the continuation of such measures is the consequences of massive missile and drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
“The reason for the introduction of restrictions is the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities,” the statement reads.
Energy workers emphasize that the situation in the energy system remains dynamic, so the schedules may be adjusted depending on the operational situation. Ukrainians are urged to follow updates from local operators and prepare for possible changes in electricity supply.
