The Association of Enterprises “Ukrmetallurgprom” reported that in January-March 2026, steel production volumes in Ukraine amounted to 1.73 million tons, which is 0.3% less compared to the same period last year.

Dynamics of Pig Iron and Rolled Products Production
According to the results of the first quarter of 2026, Ukrainian metallurgical plants produced 1.8 million tons of pig iron. This is an increase of 5.9% compared to January-March 2025. At the same time, the production of rolled products during this period decreased by 6.6% to 1.34 million tons.
March Figures Show Growth
In March 2026, steel production in Ukraine reached 702.3 thousand tons, demonstrating significant growth – an increase of 27.6% year-on-year. The output of pig iron in March was 690.2 thousand tons, rising by 22.5% compared to March of last year. The production of rolled products in March amounted to 544.5 thousand tons, which is 13.8% more in year-on-year terms.
