How Pensioners Can Pass Video Identification: List of Required Documents

The Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Zhytomyr region has reminded pensioners about the procedure for passing video identification and the list of documents required for this. This procedure allows individuals to remotely confirm their identity and ensure the receipt of pension payments without being physically present at the fund’s offices.

What is Physical Identification and How Does Video Identification Work

Physical identification is a procedure during which a person’s data is established based on official documents in paper or electronic form. In the case of video identification, the pensioner undergoes a special video conference session, during which an authorized employee of the Pension Fund verifies the documents and identifies the individual.

Video identification is conducted based on a Ukrainian citizen’s passport or ID card. During the online session, it is necessary to show the document and state its details: series, number, date of issue, and the issuing authority. Additionally, the registration number of the taxpayer’s account card must be provided (except for individuals who have refused to obtain it for religious reasons).

Documents for Pensioners, Legal Representatives, and Children

The pensioner should be prepared to answer questions regarding their pension certificate and provide information about their employment history. If the pensioner’s interests are represented by a legal representative, they must present a document confirming the relevant authority.

If pension payments are designated for a child, it is essential to provide the child’s birth certificate. If the pensioner requires physical assistance during the video identification, the assistant must present their own identification document.

Physical identification is the procedure for establishing a person’s data based on documents on physical media or electronic data.

Thanks to video identification, pensioners can remotely confirm their identity and securely receive payments using modern communication tools.
