During the full-scale war, several retailers decided to take bold steps by experimenting with new directions that are not typical for their core business. In particular, the company Epicenter recently began construction of large shopping centers in the Kyiv region. The Green Gallery shopping center has a total area of 96,000 square meters, while Bucha Gallery covers 97,000 square meters. Additionally, the retailer is opening new gas stations (GS) and has launched a network of small stores called Epicenter Express, ranging from 200 to 300 square meters, as well as developing a network of amusement parks under the brand EPILAND.

At the same time, the OKKO network offers a new service for drivers to pick up ready meals at its gas stations called OKKO Drive. OKKO Group has also started construction of a large-scale recreational project in the Carpathians – an all-season resort of international format, GORO Mountain Resort, which costs $1.5 billion. Furthermore, the company acquired 50% of the shares of one of the leaders in the electric charging market – the Kyiv company Toka.
Co-owner of the ATB network, Hennadiy Butkevych, is also adapting to the new conditions by investing in electricity production and starting a construction project for building cottages near Kyiv. He also acquired the company Aerok, which specializes in the production of aerated concrete.
