The number of heating points organized by the State Emergency Service in Kyiv has increased to 104. Resilience Centers and Social Assistance

In total, there are over 1340 resilience centers operating in Kyiv, including facilities run by socially responsible businesses. At these locations, people can not only warm up but also receive psychological support from specialists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police, enjoy hot beverages, and submit requests for hot meals.

“In collaboration with the State Emergency Service, the Red Cross, and the volunteer organization World Central Kitchen, we have managed to organize the delivery of hot meals to the heating points. Just yesterday, over 6500 portions were distributed to people. This social assistance is in high demand, and the number of those wishing to receive a hot meal is increasing every day. We are primarily focused on the elderly and individuals with limited mobility. Currently, all our efforts are aimed at supporting people and getting through this challenging period together,” said Maryana Reva.

Additional Support and Safety Measures

On the left bank of Kyiv, tent camps with sleeping accommodations have been set up at two locations for individuals requiring first aid or with relevant medical indications. People can stay at these points until medical services arrive.

In addition, the establishment of new heating points continues. For safety and order at these locations, effective patrolling has been organized, involving rescuers and the National Police. According to Maryana Reva, there are currently enough rescuers and police officers, and if necessary, the established reserves will allow for the deployment of additional forces.
