In the third quarter of 2025, a record number of foreign businesses were completely liquidated in the territory of the Russian Federation. According to monitoring data, during this period, 23 international companies definitively ceased their operations.

Famous Brands Leave the Russian Market
Among the companies that completed the liquidation process are the British home appliance manufacturer Dyson, the American corporation Rockwell Automation specializing in industrial automation, the German legal and auditing group Rödl & Partner, the laboratory equipment manufacturer Eppendorf SE, the Mexican Orbia Advance Corporation, and the international telecommunications company Sony Mobile Communications.
The British chemical company Croda International, the Japanese audio and video equipment manufacturer JVC Kenwood, the American pharmaceutical corporation Allergan, the Danish medical equipment manufacturer Ambu, the Belarusian Good Lakk, the German company Technoform operating in the construction materials sector, and the Lithuanian optics manufacturer Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide also announced the completion of their liquidation.
Asset Seizures and Further Exits
Another four companies are at various stages of liquidation: the Swedish Embracer Group, the Austrian Lisec, the French Louis Dreyfus Company, and the Finnish Orion Pharma.
Additionally, Russia has initiated the seizure of assets from the French company Air Liquide valued at approximately $700 million and has arrested the business of Airwork Group from New Zealand, which specializes in air transportation and aircraft maintenance. Notable asset sale transactions include the exit of the French Alstom, the American chain Burger King, the Israeli Fishman Group/Mirland Development, the Swedish Hilding Anders AB, and the Liechtenstein Hilti.
“As of early October, 526 international companies (12.5%) have completely left the Russian market. Another 1,377 companies (32.6%) are in the process of exiting or reducing their operations, while 2,315 companies (54.9%) are still operating in the Russian Federation.”
