The State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported a significant rise in consumer market prices. In April 2025, annual consumer inflation accelerated to 15.1%. Compared to March, inflation was 0.7%, and since the beginning of the year, it has reached 4.3%.

Increase in Food Prices
Among the main food products, eggs, vegetables, and sunflower oil saw the largest price increases. Overall, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 19.8% over the year. The most significant price increases were observed for:
- eggs (+74.6%),
- vegetables (+35.8%),
- sunflower oil (+34.8%),
- butter (+30.1%),
- fruits (+25.3%).
Additionally, the price of bread increased by 21.8%, while milk became 19.9% more expensive.
Changes in Other Sectors
Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products also showed an increase of 17.4% over the year. However, prices for clothing and footwear decreased: clothing became 4.9% cheaper, and footwear dropped by 3.9%.
Utility services rose by 20.1%, particularly due to a 63.6% increase in electricity prices last year. Services for managing apartment buildings became 18.9% more expensive. Healthcare services increased by 13.5%, and transportation costs rose by 6.9%. Prices for communication services also increased by 18.5%.
