Poland Plans to Restore Air Connections with Ukraine After Opening of Airspace

Poland intends to be the first country to restore air connections with Ukraine after the opening of Ukrainian airspace to civilian aircraft. This was announced by the Polish government’s commissioner for the reconstruction of Ukraine, Pawel Kowal.

“This is a very important element that the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency and Polish airlines are preparing for,” Kowal noted, emphasizing that Poland’s aviation sector is one of the most prepared to resume cooperation with Ukraine.

Areas of Cooperation Between Poland and Ukraine

Kowal also highlighted that Poland views its participation in the reconstruction of Ukraine through three main areas: logistics, export support, and investment encouragement.

New Flights by Ukrainian Airline SkyUp

At the same time, on April 18, the Ukrainian airline SkyUp launched a program of regular flights from Chișinău (Moldova) to numerous cities in France, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Sweden. The first flights have already departed for the capitals of France and Portugal. Currently, SkyUp’s flight program includes regular flights from Chișinău to Paris, Lisbon, Nice, Barcelona, Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, Larnaca, Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Berlin, Prague, and Stockholm.
