Children and non-working IDPs: specifics of assistance calculation

Children with IDP status will be entitled to receive assistance regardless of their families’ income levels. If the application is submitted by June 1, 2026, payments will be calculated from February 1, 2026.

At the same time, the procedure for calculating assistance for non-working internally displaced persons has also been updated. Individuals whose payments were previously terminated due to exceeding the income threshold can now reapply. If such an application is submitted by June 1, 2026, assistance will be granted from January 1, 2026.

“It is important to submit documents on time to receive payments for previous months as well. If you apply for recalculation after June 1, 2026, assistance will only be calculated from the month of application,” emphasized the ministry.

How to apply for assistance

Applications for assistance can be submitted in one of the following ways:

  • in person at the service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine;
  • through the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine;
  • by mail to the address of the relevant territorial body of the Pension Fund;
  • through the Administrative Services Center (ASC);
  • through an authorized representative of the local government of the respective community.

Submitting the application within the specified timeframe will allow internally displaced persons to receive the payments they are entitled to in full, including compensation for previous months, if they meet the updated program conditions.
