The National Bank of Ukraine has set new official exchange rates for foreign currencies for Thursday, May 21. The US dollar continued to rise, increasing by 7 kopecks, while the euro added 1 kopeck.

As of Thursday, May 21, the official rates are:
- 1 US dollar – 44.22 hryvnias (compared to 44.15 UAH on May 20);
- 1 euro – 51.30 hryvnias (compared to 51.29 UAH on the previous date).
Exchange Rate Forecast for 2026
The government has taken into account in the draft state budget for 2026 an estimated average annual exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar at 45.6 UAH per 1 dollar.
“In the draft state budget for 2026, the government sets an estimated average annual exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar at 45.6 UAH/$”.
