In Odesa Region, a Fire Broke Out on a Panama-Flagged Vessel Due to Russian Drone Attack

On the night of April 25, a hostile attack by Russian drones in the Odesa region led to a fire on a Panama-flagged vessel. The incident occurred while the ship was leaving the port, engaged in the transshipment of container cargo. After the drone strike, a fire broke out on board, which the crew managed to extinguish independently. There were no casualties as a result of this event, and the vessel continued its route.

The hostile attacks that night were not limited to Odesa. Significant destruction also occurred in the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions. In Dnipro, Russian forces struck a residential building, resulting in 18 injuries, including children. In the Kharkiv region, two people, including a child, were injured, and residential buildings and transport infrastructure were damaged.

In the Odesa region itself, in addition to the damage to the vessel, hits on civilian infrastructure and port areas were recorded, injuring two people and destroying warehouse facilities.

Actions of Emergency Services and the Scale of the Attack

In the regions that were shelled, rescue services, medical personnel, utility workers, and local administrations are working continuously. Operational headquarters have been set up to address the consequences of the attacks, with all relevant services involved.

It has been reported that from 18:00 on April 24, Russia launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, using strike drones as well as air, sea, and ground-based missiles. The main target of the strike was the city of Dnipro, with attacks also recorded in the Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.

The radio-technical troops of the Air Force recorded a total of 666 air attack means, including 47 missiles and 619 drones. Air defense forces managed to destroy 30 missiles and 580 drones.
