Ukrainians have once again become targets for cybercriminals who are spreading fake emails in the name of Nova Poshta, claiming that recipients have outstanding debts. According to the company’s press service, the fraudsters use forged logos, alter the sender’s address, and attempt to trick recipients into clicking on links or opening attachments to gain access to personal data.

Main Signs of Fraudulent Emails
The company emphasizes that such messages have no relation to Nova Poshta or the NOVA group. Cybercriminals exploit fictitious debts to create anxiety among people and push them towards reckless actions. It is noted that the emails may contain slight variations in the sender’s name or errors in the text, which are important to pay attention to.
“These emails have no connection to Nova Poshta or any other company in the NOVA group,” emphasized Nova Poshta.
Tips for Protecting Against Phishing
- Check the sender’s address. Official emails from Nova Poshta come only from corporate domains. Be cautious if you notice unusual changes or spelling errors.
- Do not open emails from unknown individuals and do not click on suspicious links.
- If you open a suspicious attachment or click on a dubious link, immediately change your passwords on all accounts and check for any additional active sessions. If suspicious activity is detected, it is advisable to terminate all external sessions through security settings.
- Activate two-factor authentication for email, messaging apps, banking services, and other important accounts. This significantly increases the level of protection against unauthorized access.
- Mark fraudulent emails as spam and delete them. This will help not only protect yourself but also reduce the risk of further distribution for other users.
The company reported that its cybersecurity department is already working to stop this phishing attack and is cooperating with relevant services and providers to limit the fraudsters’ activities.
