Norway to Allocate €264 Million for Humanitarian Support to Ukraine

The Norwegian government, in 2025, considering the ongoing Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, announced the allocation of NOK3 billion (equivalent to €264.7 million) for humanitarian support to Ukrainians. These funds will also provide assistance to refugees in neighboring countries. This funding is part of a total package of NOK12.5 billion (approximately €1.1 billion) that Norway plans to allocate for civilian aid to Ukraine and Moldova throughout 2025.

The planned funds will ensure protection and humanitarian assistance for millions of Ukrainians, including access to housing, food, water, utilities, and psychosocial support.

Support for Ukraine’s Euro-Integration

Additionally, the European Union, Sweden, and Germany are directing €44 million to support civil society organizations in Ukraine. These financial resources will be used to support vital work in the areas of humanitarian response, justice, democratic development, and governance.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the European Union has allocated over €150 million to civil society organizations in Ukraine. It is emphasized that a strong and dynamic civil society is a key factor for Ukraine’s euro-integration.
