On the roads of Ukraine, cars equipped with new registration plates of series “DI” are increasingly being recorded. These plates are issued to vehicle owners who re-register their cars using the mobile application Diiа.

It is worth noting that vehicle owners are not required to obtain the new “DI” plates; they can choose to keep their old ones if they wish. According to representatives of the Diiа service, applications for this service can be submitted in several ways:
- in person;
- through a legal representative;
- by filling out an online application via the link.
“Registration and re-registration of wheeled vehicles of all categories are carried out at the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, administrative service centers, as a result of which the applicant receives a vehicle registration certificate, license plates, or a registration card and license plates for one-time trips,” stated Diiа.
According to analysts from avtosota, the cost of re-registering a vehicle through Diiа is 1,105 hryvnias. This amount includes the cost of the certificate form and the new plates.
Additionally, vehicle owners will need to pay extra postal service fees for the delivery of the license plates and technical passport, which increases the total cost to approximately 1,500 hryvnias.
