Ministry of Digital Transformation to Implement Over 20 New Digital Services in the Diia App by Year-End

The Ministry of Digital Transformation is preparing a major update for the “Diia” app. By the end of this year, Ukrainians will have the opportunity to use more than twenty new digital services that will significantly ease the resolution of many important issues for businesses and citizens.

This is reported by Finway

“Diia was created as a tool for a convenient state-partner… If this tool is turned into a mechanism of coercion, it will undermine the trust of millions of users. This is a fundamental position that remains unchanged,” emphasized Borynyakov.

Will Electronic Summons Appear in Diia?

According to Acting Minister of Digital Transformation Oleksandr Borynyakov, the issue of sending electronic summonses through “Diia” is not being considered or developed. The ministry does not plan to implement electronic summonses in this app or in any of its other products.

Digital Innovations for Businesses and Citizens

A number of important updates are already being prepared for entrepreneurs:

  • implementation of electronic military accounting, allowing companies to reserve employees without physically visiting territorial recruitment centers;
  • launch of “Diia.Signature” for legal entities;
  • the ability to open accounts online for limited liability companies;
  • digital registration of public organizations in a simplified format.

As for regular users, new services will appear in “Diia” to help eliminate unnecessary paper bureaucracy:

  • obtaining permits for weapons online;
  • the possibility of divorce via the internet (for couples without children);
  • electronic European protocol for quick processing of traffic accidents without calling the police;
  • e-queue for passenger cars at border crossings;
  • launch of the European digital wallet eWallet.

A separate package of updates will concern military personnel and their families: the state intends to combine several procedures into one, including integrating digital statuses with social support systems.

In the near future, the app will also offer the service of submitting property declarations with automatic data upload from registries, which is expected to simplify the declaration process for citizens.
