Starting from August 29, 2025, the first payments under the updated social program Aktywny Rodzic will be launched in Poland, which is also available to Ukrainian citizens. The program provides financial support to families with children and does not depend on income levels, but it requires compliance with certain conditions to receive assistance.

Updated Payments and Expanded Opportunities
The official launch of Aktywny Rodzic took place in October 2024. It modernizes the previous Family Care Capital (RKO) system and increases funding for children attending nurseries. Specifically, the amount of the supplement for a child’s stay in a nursery has increased from 400 to 1500 zlotys. Additionally, payments are now designated for the first child in the family, significantly expanding the scope of assistance.
Three Areas of Support for Families with Children
- Aktywnie w pracy: a monthly payment of 1500 zlotys for two years (from the 12th to the 35th month of the child’s life) for parents returning to work before the child reaches the age of 3. For children with disabilities, the amount increases to 1900 zlotys.
- Aktywnie w żłobku: reimbursement of expenses for nursery, children’s clubs, or nanny care. The maximum amount is 1500 zlotys per month per child, and for children with disabilities, it can be up to 1900 zlotys.
- Aktywnie w domu: a payment of 500 zlotys per month for children aged 12 to 35 months. This area is available for all children regardless of additional conditions.
“The program is also open to Ukrainians in Poland — they can take advantage of the Aktywnie w żłobku option.”
