In January 2026, a modern enterprise for the production of food and technical salt named “Kuyalnytskyi” is set to launch in the Odesa region. The new plant is being constructed by “Chornomorskyi Solezavod” LLC and will be the first in Ukraine to operate on an industrial scale using comprehensive innovative technologies.

Attracting Investments and Production Scale
The project is being implemented with financing of 2.8 million US dollars obtained through the state entrepreneurship support program “5-7-9%”. Construction of the plant began in 2024 and is currently in its final stages. According to preliminary estimates, the new production facility will be able to produce about 15,000 tons of salt per month, which will significantly contribute to ensuring the domestic market of Ukraine with this strategically important product.
Technological Partnership and Market Prospects
Experts from the state enterprise “Artemsil” and the Turkish company SALT PLUS are involved in creating the production capacities, which will ensure the implementation of advanced technological solutions. It is expected that the enterprise will be able to cover more than half of the total salt demand in Ukraine, contributing to the enhancement of the country’s food security and reducing dependence on imports.
