The National Bank of Ukraine has announced new official exchange rates for major foreign currencies for Friday, September 5. According to the updated data, the hryvnia has strengthened against the US dollar and the euro.

Exchange Rates for Major Currencies on September 5

As of Friday, the official exchange rate for the US dollar is set at 41.35 hryvnias per dollar. This means that the Ukrainian currency has strengthened by 2 kopecks compared to the previous banking day.

The euro to hryvnia exchange rate also shows positive dynamics for the national currency. The official exchange rate for the euro is 48.13 hryvnias per unit of European currency, indicating a strengthening of the hryvnia by 7 kopecks.

Situation in the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market

In the interbank foreign exchange market of Ukraine, by 16:00, the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar was forming in the range of 41.30–41.33 hryvnias per dollar. A similar level was observed for the euro – 48.13–48.15 hryvnias per euro.

The exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro is set at 48.13 UAH/euro.

Thus, the Ukrainian currency continues to demonstrate moderate strengthening against major foreign currencies both in the official and interbank markets.
