The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) officially stated that they are not conducting any procedural actions concerning the wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. Representatives of the agencies emphasized that the information from Russian sources about an alleged investigation is disinformation.

Manipulations of the Russian Federation: an attempt to discredit Ukraine
NABU and SAP stressed that the reports disseminated by Russian media aim to discredit Ukrainian state institutions, undermine trust in anti-corruption agencies, destabilize the socio-political situation, and weaken the unity of the state in wartime.
“NABU and SAP are not carrying out any procedural actions as mentioned in the stated allegations. Such information leaks are part of a systematic disinformation campaign by the aggressor state aimed at discrediting Ukrainian institutions, undermining trust in anti-corruption agencies, destabilizing the socio-political situation, and weakening the unity of Ukraine in the context of full-scale war.”
Spread of fake news
On the evening of May 17, a similar denial was also published on the SAP Telegram channel. Russian state agencies had previously disseminated information claiming that Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies were completing an investigation regarding Olena Zelenska, citing their own security forces.
Such information attacks are yet another attempt by the Russian Federation to influence the internal situation in Ukraine and create distrust towards state authorities.
