Women are mastering new professional fields

A total of 337 Ukrainian women have already completed their training, and most of them — 287 individuals — have successfully found employment. Another 495 women are continuing to acquire new professional skills. There is particular popularity among participants for specialties such as woodworking machine operator (283 applications), boiler operator (165 applications), and tractor driver (154 applications).

Additionally, there is significant demand for professions such as forklift driver, trolleybus driver, and repair locksmith. This indicates a gradual change in the perception of women’s roles in various sectors of the economy.

Employer demand and regional leaders

Employers are also showing increased interest in female specialists: currently, they have submitted 450 requests for the search for new female professionals. The highest number of training referrals for women has been recorded in five regions: Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, and Volyn.

832 Ukrainian women have begun training in professions that were traditionally considered ‘male’ as part of the experimental project of the Employment Service.

Thus, Ukrainian women are increasingly participating in the development of the labor market, expanding their professional horizons and contributing to overcoming outdated gender stereotypes.
