A Modern Salt Production Plant Will Open in Odesa Region in 2026

In January 2026, a new plant for the production of food and technical salt, owned by the “Chornomorsky Salt Plant,” is set to launch in the Odesa region. New Plant: Production Scale and Technologies

Once operational, the plant will be able to produce about 15,000 tons of salt per month. It is expected that this facility will meet over 50% of the Ukrainian salt market’s needs. The plant will be the first industrial salt production facility in Ukraine to implement innovative comprehensive technologies that enhance the quality and competitiveness of the products.

Restoration of the Kuyalnik Estuary: The Plant’s Environmental Contribution

The company also plans to actively participate in the restoration of the Kuyalnik Estuary. The “Kuyalnik” National Nature Park, along with the plant’s specialists, is developing solutions to help reduce the salinity of the estuary without incurring costs to the state budget. This will involve the method of basin sedimentation, where excess salt will be collected in special basins and then transported to the plant for further processing.

“The plant’s capacity will cover over 50% of the needs of the Ukrainian salt market.”
