In Ukraine, the median salary, according to a major recruitment portal, as of July 2025, is 25,000 hryvnias. This figure is calculated based on over 193,000 job vacancies published in the labor market. However, it is important to consider that in some cases, a single vacancy may involve the search for multiple employees, and a significant portion of employers do not indicate the salary level at all. This is particularly true for small towns and certain industries, where workers are often recruited without the mediation of recruitment portals.

Highest Salaries for Job Vacancies in July 2025
Some professions in Ukraine demonstrate significantly higher levels of remuneration. In particular, a real estate manager can expect an average salary of 80,000 hryvnias, which is 23% more than last year. There is also a substantial increase observed in the vacancies for DevOps engineers — the average salary has reached 74,000 hryvnias, which is 53% higher than last year. Salary growth is also characteristic of Java programmers (average salary 62,500 hryvnias, increase of 92%), team leads (65,000 hryvnias, +53%), as well as sales department managers (65,000 hryvnias, +30%).

Differences in Salary Statistics: Portal and Pension Fund
It is worth noting that the statistics from the recruitment portal work.ua may not fully reflect the real picture of the labor market. One reason is the discrepancy between the salary offered in new vacancies and the income of current employees. Due to the lack of regular indexing, new employees are often assigned higher salaries than those who are already working in the company.

The official statistics from the Pension Fund only account for those salaries from which the unified social contribution has been paid. As of June 2025, the average level of official salary in Ukraine is 20,300 hryvnias. However, this data does not cover “under-the-table” payments, which also remain a common practice in the labor market.
