In March, businesses increased fiscal transactions to 555 billion UAH – State Tax Service

In March 2026, Ukraine recorded a significant increase in the legal trade and service sector. According to the State Tax Service, the volume of fiscal transactions processed through traditional and software cash registers (RRO/PRRO) reached 555 billion UAH. In comparison, this amount was 432.9 billion UAH in February 2026, meaning the increase over the month exceeded 122 billion UAH.

Comparison with the same period last year

The figures for March 2026 significantly surpassed the results of the same month the previous year. Thus, the volume of fiscalized revenues increased by almost a quarter – by 22.9%, which is equivalent to an additional 103.3 billion UAH that has been legalized in the country’s economy. This growth indicates a reduction in the shadow sector and an increase in trust towards transparent transactions.

A significant increase is also observed in the number of issued fiscal receipts. In March, businesses issued 932.9 million receipts, which is 9% (or 77.3 million) more than in the same period of 2025. On average, 30.1 million receipts were issued to customers daily, which is 2.5 million more than last year’s figure. The average daily revenue rose to 17.9 billion UAH compared to 14.6 billion UAH in March 2025.

“The positive dynamics are evident not only in the monetary growth of revenue but also in the number of issued fiscal documents. Thus, over the month, businesses issued 932.9 million receipts, which is 9% (or 77.3 million pieces) more than in March 2025.”

Factors of Transparency and Further Growth

The State Tax Service attributes this growth in transaction transparency to two main factors. Firstly, it is the result of systematic work by regulatory authorities, which conduct monitoring, information, and consulting campaigns for entrepreneurs. Secondly, businesspeople are increasingly abandoning “gray” schemes and choosing legal business models, demonstrating economic maturity and responsibility.

Moreover, the growth in fiscalized revenues was accompanied by an increase in the number of receipts processed through cash registers by 203 million, while the average daily revenue increased by 2.4 billion UAH compared to February 2026.

It is worth reminding that Ukraine continues its course towards the digitalization of fiscal procedures, gradually implementing the electronic fiscal document eReceipt, which is set to replace the paper equivalent.
