Restoration of connections to Kyiv and Lviv
In the first phase, LOT plans to resume flights from Warsaw to Kyiv and Lviv. These routes were the most popular among Polish passengers before 2022. In the future, the route network may be expanded to other regional airports in Ukraine, once their infrastructure is restored and ready to accept international flights.
New opportunities and route expansion
In addition to the main routes, LOT is also considering the possibility of organizing direct flights from several Polish regions to Ukrainian cities. To service these routes, the company plans to deploy four modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, each capable of carrying up to 186 passengers. According to the carrier’s estimates, the passenger flow on the routes between Ukraine and Poland could reach 800,000 people per year.
“LOT expects that a significant portion of the demand will be met by the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland.”
The resumption of flights between Poland and Ukraine will be an important step towards restoring transport links and strengthening cooperation between the countries.
