“According to Bubblemaps, Davis is linked to a cluster of 14 addresses that began purchasing the asset just a minute after the announcement.”

Meme Coin YZY and Its Connection to Hayden Davis

YZY is a meme coin that hit the market on August 21, 2025, and immediately attracted attention due to its association with Kanye West and its high-profile tokenomics. The launch was accompanied by criticism due to significant insider activity, which allowed insiders to earn $24 million from early purchases and high demand. Analysts at Bubblemaps noted that before the launch of YZY, large sums were transferred from centralized exchanges to a number of addresses that were later grouped into a cluster associated with Davis. His wallets began purchasing YZY almost instantly after the official announcement, raising suspicions about access to insider information.

Hayden Davis is known as one of the developers of the LIBRA project, which is also linked to Argentina’s President Javier Milei. It later became known that Davis was also involved in the creation of the MELANIA token and the launch of the crypto asset WOLF.

Investigation and Expert Opinions

In August 2025, a U.S. court unblocked $57.6 million in USDC, restoring access to these funds for Davis and his partner Ben Chow, co-founder of the Meteora platform, which had previously been frozen in the case concerning the collapse of the LIBRA meme coin. Despite significant profits from YZY, Bubblemaps experts emphasize that they cannot assert the existence of an insider conspiracy, although suspicions regarding Davis’s involvement in the launch of the meme coin remain. The investigation into Davis’s role in the creation of YZY is ongoing.
