Kyivstar Changes the Validity Period of Mobile Numbers Starting February 6, 2026

The mobile operator “Kyivstar” has announced updates to the rules regarding the validity period of subscriber numbers, which will take effect on February 6, 2026. The aim of the changes is to protect the numbers of active subscribers and simplify the use of the company’s services.

New Phases of Number Validity from Kyivstar

According to the new conditions, the validity period of the number will remain 365 days; however, this period will be divided into two separate phases:

  1. First Phase lasts 274 days from the last account top-up or tariff payment. During this time, the number remains active, and the subscriber can use all the operator’s services.
  2. Second Phase covers the following 91 days. During this time, the subscriber may receive SMS notifications reminding them to top up their account to avoid deactivation of the number. If the number is in a suspended state, account top-ups and making calls are only possible through service numbers.

How to Extend the Validity of Your Number

  • To fully restore the functionality of the number, it is sufficient to top up the account with at least 30 hryvnias in one payment.
  • Alternatively, you can pay for a service package for a month right away. For users who choose to pay for a year or half a year, the validity of the number is automatically extended with each package renewal.
