The mobile operator Kyivstar has announced a gradual update of tariff plans for some subscribers at the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026. The changes will affect users of prepaid, contract, and business tariffs.

Reasons for the Increase in Communication Tariffs
The company explained that the main reason for the tariff review was the significant increase in resource costs, particularly electricity for enterprises. According to Kyivstar, the price of electricity during peak evening hours has risen by 60%. Additional pressure on costs is created by power outages, which force the company to significantly increase fuel purchases for generators and enhance logistics processes.
“The key factor in the price increase was the sharp rise in resource costs, particularly electricity for enterprises. During peak evening hours, its price has risen by 60%.”
Phases of Implementing New Tariffs and Offers for Subscribers
Kyivstar will implement the tariff plan updates gradually. For some prepaid users, the changes will start on December 18, 2025, and will continue into early 2026. For contract and business tariff subscribers, the new terms will take effect on January 1, 2026, and will be implemented over several months.
For subscribers affected by the tariff updates, the company offers the possibility to increase the volumes of certain services included in the package at no additional charge. If the new terms do not suit the subscribers, they will be able to choose another prepaid tariff or switch to a contract.
The operator promises to notify all changes in advance: subscribers will receive appropriate SMS notifications, while business clients will receive notifications via email.
Detailed information regarding the tariff updates can be obtained through the “My Kyivstar” app, by calling 477*9, or in the company’s official announcements.
