Iran’s largest metallurgical plant, Mobarakeh Steel, has halted operations following extensive airstrikes carried out by Israeli forces earlier this week. As a result of the bombardment, the production lines at the facility in Isfahan sustained significant damage, completely blocking further activity at the plant.

Impact of the Strikes on Iran’s Metallurgical Industry
The plant’s administration officially confirmed that the production facilities were severely affected after the bombing on Tuesday. Workers have been advised to refrain from visiting the plant until further notice. The shutdown of Mobarakeh Steel represents one of the most significant blows to Iran’s metallurgical sector in recent years.
“The Mobarakeh Steel complex in Isfahan confirmed that the bombing on Tuesday caused serious damage to its production lines and advised workers to refrain from visiting the facility until further notice.”
Consequences for Other Iranian Steel Mills
In addition to Mobarakeh Steel, another major Iranian steel mill, Khuzestan Steel, located in the southwest of the country, also suffered significant damage. Following last week’s bombing, the facility has also suspended operations. The management of Khuzestan Steel stated that it would take between six months to a year to restore production and return to normal operations.
The shutdown of leading metallurgical enterprises could significantly impact Iran’s economy and lead to changes in the global steel market.
