In Ukraine, there is a continuing trend of rising meat prices, particularly for beef, the cost of which has increased by 6% and now stands at 317 UAH per kilogram. The most noticeable increase is in the price of pork, as indicated by data from the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB).

Over the past month, the price of pork neck has risen by 20%, and on an annual basis, the increase reaches 39%, resulting in a price of 330 UAH per kilogram. UCAB experts note:
“No significant decrease in pork prices is expected in the near future”

State of Pig Population in Ukraine
As of early April, the pig population in Ukraine was 4.6 million, which is 11% less compared to the same period in 2024. Additionally, the price of beef continues to rise: the average price for goulash has increased by 6% over the month, and on an annual basis, this figure has risen by 14%.
Chicken Meat Prices
Prices for chicken fillet have also changed: over the month, the cost has risen by 5%, while the average price of whole chickens has remained virtually unchanged. At the same time, prices for chicken thighs have decreased by 4%.
